Emerson Network Power announced the Liebert XD system was recognized with a 2010 Emerson Technology Award for its innovative cooling system design.
Columbus, Ohio [December 1, 2010] – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, today announced the Liebert XD system was recognized with a 2010 Emerson Technology Award for its innovative cooling system design.
In their 21st year, the Emerson Technology Awards showcase the top technology solutions unveiled by its businesses in the past year. Twelve different products, representing 12 Emerson businesses, were submitted for this year’s competition. Judges from Emerson Corporate Technology and technology leaders from all Emerson businesses identified the Liebert XD as one of two honorees in 2010. Emerson Smart Wireless from Emerson Process Management also was recognized.

In addition to Madara, the award-winning Liebert XD system team included the following members of Emerson Network Power’s Liebert precision cooling business: Steve Sillato, manager, new product development; Tom Harvey, manager, product development; Lennart Stahl, senior product manager; Douglas Werner, senior director, research and development, Cooligy; Eric Taylor, senior design engineer, software. The team was honored at the annual Emerson Technology Awards dinner and received a trophy, recognition in Innovations magazine, and a $2,000 contribution to the university of their choice.
